Ad Competition

GREEN BAY, WI, March 3, 2008 — The Fox River Ad Club awarded its first-ever Mosaic Award to the advertising and design firm, Arketype, Inc., in recognition of advertising efforts that promote diversity and issues related to multiculturalism. The inaugural honor came on the heels of Arketype's winning eight Gold ADDY® Awards and 14 Silver ADDY® Awards during Friday night's 2007 American Advertising Federation awards ceremony, held at The Ravine, Green Bay.

"This Mosaic Award validates the remarkable power of our collective design community," said Jim Rivett, Arketype president. "Graphic design has the unique ability to enlighten and empower our communities, and designers have ample opportunities to help area nonprofit organizations in exceptional ways."

Included among Arketype's Gold ADDY® award-winning client projects was a video produced for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago to promote its 40th anniversary gala, which also netted a Best of Show nomination. Additionally, Arketype received a Gold ADDY® and a Judges' Choice nomination for its "Happy World" campaign, created for the firm's annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day community event.

Other Gold ADDY® awards were given for the firm's work for the following clients:

  • The CiveFest '07 poster illustration for Chives Restaurant
  • The logo creation for Burst
  • The corporate identification package for Attach, LLC
  • The thinkmarriage.org campaign for Foundation for a Great Marriage

Silver awards presented to Arketype recognized a host of print and multimedia work for a variety of its clients including Kimberly-Clark, Integrys Energy Services, Baileigh Industrial, and the John Michael Kohler Art Center.

The district ceremony is the first of a three-tiered national competition conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation. Arketype's gold-winning projects will advance to a four-state regional competition, with the opportunity to again advance to the national level.

With nearly 60,000 entries from across the country, the ADDYs are the industry's largest and most represented competition for creative excellence.
