(Green Bay, WI) Arketype Inc., a national, award winning, creative design and advertising firm located in Green Bay, has purchased Grace Presbyterian Church. The Church, built in 1873 with additions added in 1910 and 1929, is located at the corner of Stuart and Monroe Streets in downtown Green Bay. It has not been used by the congregation since September 2003.
Jim Rivett, Creative Director and Principal at Arketype, said the firm will move into the building over the next six to 12 months. We are very excited to remain in downtown Green Bay and have the opportunity to restore this beautiful building, he added. The firm anticipates spending up to $500,000 to improve and renovate the facility.
We intend to maintain the architectural integrity of the building, while adapting it to the needs of our business, explained Rivett. In fact, we will keep all of the stained glass windows intact and light them at night.
There is currently one tenant in the building, the Green Bay Multicultural Center, which occupies several offices. Arketype plans to meet with the Centers leadership in the coming weeks to discuss its future needs.
The purchase price of the church was not disclosed. Arketype Inc. is currently located at 126 Pine Street in Green Bay.
