Brown County Fair Brochure By Arketype Receives International Recognition

The Brown County Fair Association received a first-place Award of Distinction from the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE) for its 2011 brochure designed by Arketype. The award for outstanding printed promotional material was presented during the 121st annual IAFE Convention held November 30 in Las Vegas. An event poster and billboard campaign designed by Arketype also received award nods.

According to the IAFE, more than 3,200 fairs are held in North America each year providing industrial exhibits, demonstrations and competition aimed at the advancement of livestock, horticulture and agriculture. The IAFE’s communications competition helps to improve the advertising and publicity programs of fairs and provides recognition for those organizations doing outstanding jobs.

The Brown County Fair Association provides opportunities for youth and adults to learn together in a family environment. Its 2011 fair drew a record attendance of 37,200 visitors. Through exhibits and demonstrations, the fair teaches urban and rural residents of all ages about Brown County’s history, traditions and accomplishments through agriculture, family living and business. Details can be found at www.browncountyfair.com.

Headquartered in Springfield, Missouri, the IAFE has more than 3,000 members worldwide. For more information, visit www.fairsandexpos.com.
