A Detroit native and a 1984 graduate of the Art and Design School at Northern Michigan University, Meinke’s professional career in design spans 24 years, both on the client and agency sides of the business.
Meinke established Archetype Group (now Arketype Inc) in 1992. In doing so, he founded the firm’s principles to provide clients with the kind of originality, authenticity, and service that leads to long-term relationships. Behind Arketype’s inception was Meinke’s additional desire to position Green Bay as a place where creative capital could grow and be recognized to dispel the myths about where good design and great ideas come from.
In 2001, Meinke was recognized by the Wisconsin Small Business Administration as the state’s Emerging Entrepreneur. He was also named the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Person of the Year in 2000. Both accolades recognized Meinke’s business achievements as an employer and as a major supporter of nonprofit organizations throughout the Green Bay area.
In 2003, Meinke was appointed by Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle to the Wisconsin Executive Arts Board. He continues his involvement on the state’s Executive Arts Board whose mission is to nurture creativity, cultivate expression, promote the arts, support the arts in education, stimulate economic development, and serve as a resource for people of every culture and heritage throughout Wisconsin. Meinke also serves on Executive Weidner Center Presents Board of Directors and is the chairperson for the theatre’s marketing committee.
